Lyrics of Chop Suey!

Wake up (Wake up)
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
Hide the scars to fade away the shake up
(Hide the scars to fade away the)
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable

Despertar (Wake up)
Agarra una brocha y pon un poco de maquillaje
Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la sacudida
(Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la)
¿Por qué dejaste las llaves sobre la mesa?
Aquí vas a crear otra fábula

You wanted to
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shake up
You wanted to
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
You wanted to

Quisiste
Agarra una brocha y pon un poco de maquillaje
Quisiste
Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la sacudida
Quisiste
¿Por qué dejaste las llaves sobre la mesa?
Quisiste

I don't think you trust
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to DIE!!
(Ahh)

No creo que la confianza
En mi suicidio autosuficiente
Yo lloro cuando los ángeles merecen morir!
(Ah)

Wake up (Wake up)
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
Hide the scars to fade away the
(Hide the scars to fade away the shake up)
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable

Despertar (Wake up)
Agarra una brocha y pon un poco de maquillaje
Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la
(Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la sacudida)
¿Por qué dejaste las llaves sobre la mesa?
Aquí vas a crear otra fábula

You wanted to,
Grab a brush and put a little makeup
You wanted to,
Hide the scars to fade away the shake up
You wanted to,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
You wanted to

Usted quería,
Agarra una brocha y pon un poco de maquillaje
Usted quería,
Esconde las cicatrices para desvanecer la sacudida
Usted quería,
¿Por qué dejaste las llaves sobre la mesa?
Quisiste

I don't think you trust
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die!

No creo que la confianza
En mi suicidio autosuficiente
Yo lloro cuando los ángeles merecen morir
En mi suicidio autosuficiente
Yo lloro cuando los ángeles merecen morir!

Father! (Father!)
Father! (Mother!)
Father! (Fuck You!)
Father!

Padre! (Father!)
Padre! (Mother!)
Padre! (Fuck You!)
Padre!

Father, into your hands,
I commend my spirit!
Father into your hands,

Padre, en tus manos,
Encomiendo mi espíritu!
Padre en tus manos,

Why have you forsaken me?
In your eyes, forsaken me
In your thoughts, forsaken me
In your heart, forsaken me

¿Por qué me has abandonado?
En tus ojos, me has abandonado
En tus pensamientos, me has abandonado
En tu corazón, me has abandonado

Trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die.

La confianza en mi suicidio autosuficiente
Yo lloro cuando los ángeles merecen morir
En mi suicidio autosuficiente
Yo lloro cuando los ángeles merecen morir.

'Chop Suey!' is the first single from System of a Down's second album 'Toxicity'. The single was released in August 2001 and earned the band its first Grammy nomination. The song's working title was 'Suicide'; the band members claim the change was not caused by pressure from their record company. The words 'We're rolling 'Suicide' can still be heard faintly in the album versions's opening seconds - though this intro is only on certain pressings of the album. The song is included as a playable track in the music video games 'Rock Band 2' and 'Rock Band Unplugged'.
